MISSION
Why we exist. Liberty Science Center is an innovative learning resource for
lifelong exploration of nature, humanity and technology, supporting the growth
of our diverse region and promoting informed stewardship of the world.
VISION
What we need to become. The year is 2005. Liberty Science Center has completed
its major expansion project. We have emerged as a landmark destination in the
greater New York region offering experiences that significantly advance the
reach and impact of our unique mission. Onsite, offsite and online, we have
become widely regarded as providing an indispensable public service. Expansion
planning has enabled financially sound operations and ongoing renewal. We are
now broadly involved in the growth of our diverse region. Coordinated master
plans are being implemented for Liberty State Park and Ellis Island, our
transportation infrastructure has improved, and our urban neighborhood continues
its renaissance. In the aspiration of the science center field for greater
social responsibility, Liberty Science Center has now provided an inspiring
example of progress.

3 Produce and maintain an improved guest experience
4 Benefit fully from human, financial and facility resources
5 Participate in improvement projects for the neighborhood
